The Houston Chamber Choir recently teamed up with choral conductor and educator Anthony Trecek-King for a groundbreaking concert, Ancestors’ Dream featuring music from composers of African Descent. Trecek-King’s wealth of experience and passion for uplifting unheard voices made him the perfect fit for the project. The concert, which took place on April 8, 2023, showcased the diverse voices and rich musical traditions of African composers, and was a highlight of the choral season.
